The Bronco Sport comes with standard 4x4 across the lineup, giving you added capability for changing terrain and weather. Big Bend®, Heritage, and Outer Banks® models feature five G.O.A.T. Modes®: Normal, ECO, Sport, Slippery, and Off-Road. You can select the mode that matches the conditions, making the system useful for everything from a wet road after a summer storm to a gravel road leading to a campsite.

The Badlands® takes the capability further with a 2.0L EcoBoost® engine, advanced 4x4 with a twin-clutch rear drive unit, and seven G.O.A.T. Modes®. Rock Crawl and Rally join the other settings, giving the Badlands equipment specifically suited to more demanding terrain. A steel-plated front bumper, underbody protection, and all-terrain tires add to its off-road equipment. When properly equipped, the Badlands can tow up to 2,700 pounds.

That capability also has a place outside of off-road driving. Standard 4x4 can be useful when Massachusetts roads are wet, snowy, or covered with loose surfaces, while the Bronco Sport's compact size remains convenient for parking, errands, and daily commuting.

The Bronco Sport offers two EcoBoost® engines, giving you a choice based on how you spend your time behind the wheel:

• 1.5L EcoBoost®: Available on Big Bend®, Heritage, and Outer Banks®, producing 180 horsepower and 200 lb.-ft. of torque. It achieves an EPA-estimated 25 city/30 highway MPG.
• 2.0L EcoBoost®: Standard on Badlands®, producing 250 horsepower and 280 lb.-ft. of torque. It comes with advanced 4x4 and a twin-clutch rear drive unit and achieves an EPA-estimated 21 city/27 highway MPG.

For a driver spending most weekdays commuting and handling errands, the 1.5L models provide a practical combination of power and efficiency. If your weekends regularly involve rougher terrain, additional equipment, or towing, the Badlands® gives you the more powerful engine and upgraded off-road hardware to match.

The Bronco Sport's compact exterior makes it easy to maneuver around town, but there's still plenty of room for the things you actually carry. With the second-row seats in place, 1.5L models offer up to 32.5 cubic feet of cargo space. Fold the rear seats and maximum cargo capacity reaches up to 65.2 cubic feet.

That gives you room for groceries during the week and camping equipment, hiking gear, or luggage when you're heading out for the weekend. You can also use the available cargo space for everyday items such as sports equipment or larger shopping trips.

The Badlands® adds rubberized flooring, which makes sense for drivers who spend time around dirt, mud, or wet equipment. After a muddy hike or a day outside, having a cargo area designed with those activities in mind can be especially useful.

Inside, the Bronco Sport features a 13.2-inch center display. Big Bend® includes wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, giving you a simple way to connect your smartphone without reaching for a cable every time you get in.

The Ford Connectivity Package is included for one year on Big Bend® and adds connected features such as Connected Navigation, music and video streaming, Enhanced Voice Recognition, and Wi-Fi® hotspot capability.

Driver-assistance technology is another part of the Bronco Sport's equipment. Ford Co-Pilot360® Assist+ includes features such as BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert, Pre-Collision Assist® with Automatic Emergency Braking, and Adaptive Cruise Control. These features can provide useful assistance during situations such as changing lanes, backing out of a parking space, or maintaining a set following distance on longer drives.
