The 2022 F-150 Lightning is a highly capable performer in many aspects. As a new addition to the F-series lineup, you can expect streamlined power under the hood. In fact, with the extended-range models, this truck can achieve 563 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque.
With that kind of power at your disposal, you’ll be able to accelerate from zero to 60 MPH in a little over four seconds! Sounds like this truck can really move at the speed of lightning. Better yet, you’ll be able to assert your dominance over any terrain with its four selectable drive modes: Normal, Sport, Off Road, and Tow/Haul.
The F-150 Lightning’s power doesn’t stop at its belly. You’ll have plenty of power from the frunk (front trunk), cab, and bed! With 11 available outlets throughout the truck, you can power up your tools and table saws from many connections on the truck.
As an all-electric truck, a fully charged battery can help you tackle many miles. However, with the available Ford Intelligent Backup Power, you can use the Lightning’s power reserve to power up your house when the lights go out. When used as a generator, you can power up your house for three full days or up to 10 days with rationing.
Construction jobs require space for your necessary tools. With the Ford F-150 Lightning, you’ll have 14.1 cubic feet of cargo room in the frunk—perfect for any tool bags or power tools you have to bring to the site.
It’s also washable and drainable! Muddy or dusty work boot messes, be gone!
Not only will you have uncompromising power in the Ford F-150 Lightning, but you’ll also have a dependable travel companion. You’ll have the option of a standard-range or an extended-range model. Let's check out how they differ:
- Standard Range: EPA-estimated 230 miles
- Extended Range: EPA-estimated 300 miles
There are multiple ways in which you can charge your truck as well. You can charge your truck at home with the available 80-amp Ford Charge Station Pro or stop by a supported charging station on your travels. With the Ford Charge Station Pro, you can fully charge your F-150 Lightning within eight hours!
Each model also comes with a Mobile Power Cord, which can easily be plugged into any 240-volt NEMA 14-50 outlet or a 120-volt outlet, if necessary.
