Have you heard the news? The Ford Bronco is back and better than ever! This iconic SUV of the 1960s has returned with two new models: the Ford Bronco and the Ford Bronco Sport.

Both versions of the 2021 Bronco offer impressive capabilities, spacious accommodations, and stunning design elements. So, how do you know which one is worthy of a space in your driveway near South Easton, Raynham, and Brockton, MA?

That's where Baystate Ford comes into play. Below, we've provided a Ford Bronco vs. Bronco Sport comparison. Keep reading to review these two SUVs and choose your favorite.

Ford Bronco vs Bronco Sport: Power and Performance

Let's begin this comparison by taking a look under the hood of these two automobiles.

First up is the Bronco. This beast comes standard with a 2.3L EcoBoost® engine that generates 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. Also available on select Bronco models is a slightly more powerful 2.7L EcoBoost® engine, netting 310 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque.

The Bronco Sport also offers two EcoBoost® engines-a 1.5L and a 2.0L. The latter, an available option, brings 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque, while the standard 1.5L outputs 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque.

While the Bronco may outperform its younger sibling, that doesn't mean you should rule out the Bronco Sport. This SUV is plenty agile, sporting a standard 8-speed automatic transmission. As for the Bronco, its standard transmission is a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Ford Bronco vs Bronco Sport: Become the Off-Roading Champion

Perhaps nothing is more synonymous with the Bronco than off-roading. This connection makes sense, considering the 2021 Bronco was manufactured with adventure-seekers in mind. Logically placed steel bash plates protect vital hardware, while optional side rock rails provide enough strength to support the weight of each side of the vehicle.

Every Ford Bronco also comes standard with the High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension System (HOSS). This system works to help keep your vehicle firmly on the ground.

The Bronco Sport includes its own set of off-roading equipment, including standard 4x4 capability. On less-stable road surfaces, this system disperses power to all four wheels, minimizing wheelslip and adding traction.

While they both have their differences, they do share some common off-roading advantages, like five standard G.O.A.T Modes™ (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain). Switch between Sand, Slippery, Sport, Eco, and Normal for optimal performance when you need it most.

Ford Bronco vs Ford Bronco Sport: Inviting and Spacious Interiors

Now that you've seen how these two SUVs can crush almost any expedition, it's time to talk about interior space. After all, no adventure is complete without the right gear and the right vehicle to carry it all.

Luckily, you'll find plenty of storage space between the Bronco and the Bronco Sport. On Bronco Hardtop 4-door models, 35.6 cubic feet of cargo volume is provided behind the second row. Bronco Sport vehicles deliver slightly less, with 32.5 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the rear seats.

When it comes to organization and flexibility, these two rides feature some great options. The Bronco Sport, for example, offers an optional MOLLE strap system. Located on the back of the front seats, it's an easily accessible space for smaller items. Hook up your water bottle, sunglasses, and more. The Bronco, on the other hand, can be upgraded to include rubberized flooring with drain plugs for effortless clean up.
